Smoked Salmon Pizza

Ingredients

  • Pizza Base
  • 175g strong white flour
  • ¼ tspn salt
  • ¼ tspn sugar
  • 1 tspn easy dried yeast
  • 120-150ml hand-hot water
  • 1 tbspn virgin olive oil
  • Topping
  • 75g Salar Smoked Salmon
  • 400g Passatta (crushed and sieved tomatoes)
  • 50g Mozzarella cheese (grated or torn)
  • 1 tbspn Chilli stuffed green olives (halved or sliced)

Instructions

  1. Pre-heat the oven to 200C
  2. Mix the flour, sugar and salt in a large mixing bowl. Stir in the yeast and form a well in the centre. Add the oil and water and mix into a soft dough (it’ll be a bit sticky at this stage). Knead the dough, for at least 10 minutes, until smooth and elastic. Oil a bowl and put the dough into it, cover with a cloth and place it in warm place to allow the dough to rise (about 45-50 minutes).
  3. Tip the dough onto a flour dusted worktop and roll out until you have a 12 inch round. Place this onto a baking sheet.
  4. Spread the passatta over the base to cover it up to the edges. Spread the mozzarella over the tomato. Sprinkle the olives over the cheese then add pieces of the smoked salmon.
  5. Place the baking sheet and pizza into the pre-heated oven and bake for 20 minutes.
  6. Grind some black pepper over the pizza, serve with a slice of lemon and eat at once!
